Description of Figure 3
Memory Map
The Memory Map shows a possile description of memory as used in the configuration files depicted in Appendix A.
- The base address is the beginning of the mapped storage area in addressable storage units (usually words or bytes). It is named baseName in Figure 3.
The XML tag is named MEMORYBASENAME in Appendix A.1.
The XML tag is named MAPVALUEBASENAME in Appendix A.3. - The offset is an increment to the base address in addressable storage units (usually words or bytes) where the data to be mapped resides.
The XML tag is named MAPVALUEOFFSET in Appendix A.3. - The bit offset (The XML tag is named MAPVALUEBITOFFSET in Appendix A.3) and size in bits (The XML tag is named MAPVALUESIZE in Appendix A.3) determines the mapped variable relative location.
- The size of the mapped storage area in addressable storage units (usually words or bytes) may be specified. The XML tag is named MEMORYSIZE in Appendix A.
- The size of the total storage area in addressable storage units (usually words or bytes) may be specified.
